How it works

You decide how change happens.

Turn donations into decisions.

Buy votes, choose strategies, and see transparent results each cycle.

Step 1

Every member gets a voice.

Each month you receive 5 Bonus Votes to guide causes you care about.

You can buy more anytime ($1 = 1 Paid Vote). Paid Votes represent real dollars that join the funding pool of any cause you support.

Bonus Votes don’t add dollars, but they carry full decision power — they help steer how each cause’s pooled dollars are divided among strategies.

Important nuance: when you place a vote on a strategy, your Paid Vote’s dollar goes to that cause’s shared pool (not directly to the strategy). At cycle close, the pool is allocated to strategies based on the final vote percentages from both Paid and Bonus Votes.

Your card isn’t charged right away; payments process only when the current funding cycle closes and allocations lock in.

Step 2

Vote for the strategies and partners you trust.

Within each cause, you’ll see several strategies — from lobbying and litigation to media campaigns and candidate support.

Each strategy is paired with a vetted partner — a nonprofit, advocacy group, or PAC that CrowdFlow has reviewed for expertise, integrity, and alignment with the cause. These partners are the ones that carry out the strategies funded through CrowdFlow.

Voting a strategy also means evaluating its partner. Choose the combination of tactic and partner you believe can execute most effectively.

Your votes decide how the cause’s pooled dollars are divided among these strategies. Paid Votes add dollars to the cause pool; both Paid and Bonus Votes together determine the allocation percentages at cycle close.

Step 3

When the clock hits zero, your decisions move money.

At the end of each cycle, votes freeze and allocations finalize.

Only then are payments processed — matching exactly the number of Paid Votes you cast — and funds are routed directly via Stripe Connect to the designated partners executing each strategy.

CrowdFlow never holds donor funds, ensuring every dollar goes exactly where the community directed it through the vote.

Step 4

Transparency isn’t a promise — it’s the process.

Once funds move, you can see exactly how votes translated into dollars.

Each cause page updates with live vote percentages, funding totals, and partner outcomes — including CrowdFlow follow-up reports and community star ratings.

Download public cycle reports to follow progress over time and watch community priorities evolve. Your feedback and reviews help inform partner evaluations in the next cycle.

Step 5

Your votes unlock extra impact.

When brands or foundations back a cause, their sponsor funds become bonus pools distributed in addition to community donations.

At cycle close, 100% of sponsor funds go to the top-voted strategy, amplifying the community’s choice.

Your votes help decide not only where community dollars go — but also where major matching funds land.

Step 6

Built for accountability from the ground up.

CrowdFlow routes donations through the proper legal entities: 501(c)(3) for education, research, and litigation; 501(c)(4) for advocacy and lobbying; and a PAC for candidate support.

Each transaction is processed via Stripe Connect, audit-logged, and publicly reported each cycle.

You always know where funds went, what partners did, and how those results shaped the next cycle.
