No tax on tips & overtime
Candidate Support

Coalition Building with Service Industry & Labor (Organizing/PAC)

Team up with service industry and labor groups to defend the deductions.

Team up with restaurant associations, hospitality unions (e.g. Unite Here), and retail worker groups to actively defend these cuts. Perhaps form a small PAC or campaign called “Save Our Tips & OT”. These groups can lobby and also hold lawmakers accountable: any attempt to reinstate taxes on tips/overtime can be portrayed as an attack on workers.

Why this works

  • Unusual alliance of business owners (restaurants appreciate anything that gives their workers more net pay without raising wages) and workers.
  • Could be powerful in swing districts heavy in service jobs.

Electing reformers to get Big Money out of politics

End Citizens United is a political action committee founded in 2015 with the mission of countering the influence of big money in politics and overturning the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision. It works to elect pro-democracy candidates who support campaign finance reform and anti-corruption measures:. End Citizens United raises grassroots donations and runs independent expenditures to help reform-minded candidates win office, thereby advancing policies like banning congressional stock trading and increasing political spending transparency.

How End Citizens United uses funding

  1. Select aligned candidates or targets and define the objective for each race or decision window.
  2. Use a compliant vehicle (often a PAC) with reporting and non-coordination guardrails.
  3. Run voter programs and communications through coalition channels.
  4. Execute GOTV in the final stretch and track program outputs.
  5. Shift post-election to accountability and engagement on extension and implementation.
